We continue to strive for ways to mitigate impacts on the environment and develop more eco-friendly products. Besides, we also make good efforts in protecting our employee’s safety which is important for us.

1. Compliance with regulatory requirements

We will comply with or exceed government’s environmental health and safety-related regulatory requirements and self-commitment.

 

2. Develop green products

We use the principle of "Design for Environment" on all products to minimize environmental impact.

 

3.Reduce the environmental impact

We will ensure that all of wastes are properly handled. We will integrate environmental management systems in the enterprise operating system, and reduce the negative impact on the environment

 

4.Cherish the natural resources

We will save the energy, enhance the efficiency and choose renewable energy. We will conserve our natural resources, and recycled materials as much as possible.

 

5. Providing a safe and healthy workplace

We will bring into new methods, techniques and equipment to protect employees' safety and health.
We will maintain a safe and healthy workplace, in order to prevent the occurrence of occupational accidents and diseases.
We expect employees to reported potential hazards in the workplace and to participate in an improvement plan.

 

6. Strengthen staff training.

We will strengthen the environment for all employees and management’s safety and health.
We will continue to promote the environment, safety and health-related knowledge and skills.

 

7. Establish a good communication mechanism

In 2013, AUO Crystal has obtained ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series 18001), and CNS 15506 (Taiwan Occupational safety and Health Management system certification).

 
 
 

Environmental protection

 

Air Pollution Control

Collected through a closed air pollutants to the air pollution control equipment "exhaust scrubbers" treatment by dedicated personnel monitoring equipment to detect emissions of pollutants and regularly to ensure that the exhaust gas treatment processes to better emission standards and regulations.

 

Water Pollution Control

The factory with wastewater recycling facilities is used to reduce water consumption, effectively reducing the burden of environment.
Waste water will be proper handled to meet the standards before discharge to sewage treatment plants.

 

Waste Reduction and Recycling

AUO Crystal devotes to save our planet by waste reduction and recycling. We also advocates to do recycle、reuse, and reduce to become a sustainable development company.

 

 

 

 

Greenhouse gas inventory

“Climate change” is the most rigorous challenge faced globally right now, and it is a challenge that combines nature, ecology, economy, society, and health, which has never been seen in the history of human civilization. The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was passed at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 9th, 1992; it was opened for signing at the Rio Earth Summit in June of the same year and became effective on March 21st, 1994.

 

In response to global environmental protection trends and to cooperate with the development of the country’s overall greenhouse gas reduction strategy and achieve the energy-saving and carbon reduction sustainable development objectives, AUO Crystal has continually conducted greenhouse gas inventory within the company since 2021 to understand the actual situation of greenhouse gas emissions, and further propose improvement measures, hoping to achieve the objective of reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
